The Society of American Florists Launches New Mobile App

The Society of American Florists (SAF) has launched SAF Now, a new mobile app designed to help floral professionals stay informed, access business resources, and connect with industry peers.

Available on iOS and Android devices, SAF Now brings industry news, educational opportunities, SAF resources, and member conversations together in one mobile platform.

“SAF already has so much information, practical business help and, just as important, a community of floral professionals who are always learning from and helping each other,” says SAF CEO Kate Penn. “We created the SAF Now app to make it easier to tap into all of that throughout the year, wherever you are.”

Unlike traditional event apps that are primarily used during conferences, SAF Now is designed to keep members engaged and connected year-round. Through the app, members can access floral industry headlines, explore upcoming educational events, and find SAF resources, including Ask Aster, SAF’s AI-powered business assistant.

Additionally, the app’s one-on-one and group messaging features make it easier for floral professionals to build relationships, exchange ideas, and continue conversations beyond industry events.

For Lisa Nason of Kennicott Brothers Wholesale, the app has already created opportunities to expand her professional network.

“I’ve had several conversations with people in the industry who I wasn’t previously connected to, and we were able to connect right in the app,” says Nason. “It’s a great way to build your network and start conversations. For something that takes a minute to download, you get a lot of value from it.”

One App for Year-Round Connection and Industry Events

SAF Now also provides a centralized mobile experience for SAF’s in-person events. Attendees can access event schedules and speaker information, create personalized agendas, connect with exhibitors and fellow attendees, participate in group chats, share photos, and receive event notifications.

Members can personalize their experience by selecting notifications for industry news, upcoming events, polls, and other updates, ensuring they receive information relevant to their interests.
