PlantHaven Welcomes Angela Mekjian to Project Management Team

Breeders’ agent PlantHaven International has added Angela Mekjian as a key member of its project management team. In her new role, Mekjian will be responsible for PlantHaven’s high-volume annuals and perennials.

“My colleagues and I are delighted that Angela is joining us at this exciting time for PlantHaven and our clients,” said PlantHaven President Geoff Needham. “Angela has proven expertise in bringing exceptional breeding programs to our industry’s most progressive growers and marketers.”

Angela holds a Bachelor of Science in Ornamental Horticulture from California Polytechnic State University and has extensive experience in all aspects of the plant introduction business in the USA, Europe and Asia.

As the plant project manager for volume crops, she will be concentrating on PlantHaven’s high-volume international breeding programs including Whetman Dianthus, Penhow Alonsoa, Diascia and Nemesia and Realflor Gaillardias and Leucanthemums.
