Scabiosa ‘Mariposa Violet’ From Skagit Gardens

‘Mariposa Violet’ is a new scabiosa from Skagit Gardens that keeps producing, large, showy, fully double, violet pincushion flowers on sturdy stems. Plants have a compact habit and the blooms float six inches above the gray-green foliage. While garden hardiness is still being verified, it is expected to be Zone 5. ‘Mariposa Violet’ is easy to grow as long as the soil isn’t wet, especially in the winter. This plant is also an ideal choice to attract butterflies and other nectar feeders and makes a showy cut flower.
