Greenhouse Grower to Grower Podcast: A Conversation With Bridget Behe and Terril Nell

Greenhouse Grower has entered the world of podcasts with the launch of our new “Greenhouse Grower to Grower” series. In the podcast, which will be delivered every other week, we talk to growers from across the controlled-environment industry about market trends, innovation, their biggest challenges and opportunities, and more.

If you’ve listened to past episodes of the podcast so far, you’ve noticed that our main focus is on conversations with growers from across the industry. This episode takes a slightly different approach. Just about everyone in the floriculture industry has met or worked with either Dr. Bridget Behe of Michigan State University or Dr. Terril Nell of American Floral Endowment at some point. If you haven’t, you’ve at least experienced the impact of their work in improving plant production and improving engagement with plant consumers. Both Bridget and Terril’s career paths have crossed at many points, and now they’ve each made the decision to step away from their long careers. While it seems like no one ever really “retires” from this industry, it’s a great time to recognize them for their accomplishments.

In this episode, I asked Bridget and Terril to join me on a call together to talk about their proudest accomplishments, how the industry has changed, and where they are each headed next. You can listen to the episode here, or you can find it wherever you listen to podcasts. We hope you enjoy it!
