AmericanHort’s annual Women in Horticulture Luncheon, which takes place Monday, July 15 at 12:00 p.m. during Cultivate’24, is a great way to both celebrate with your peers and to network and get inspired by them. The deadline to register for this ticketed event is Monday, July 8.

This year’s featured speaker is Geneiva McNeale, owner and CEO of GLM Leadership Solutions. McNeale, will discuss the natural tendency for people to have negative self-talk and how the judgmental undercurrents within often undermine peace of mind and success. She will explore the concept of core beliefs, or “saboteurs” and gain an understanding of their origin and impact, and will journey through a diverse array of saboteur thoughts, such as the limiting belief that “I’m not qualified for this, and attempting is futile” or the notion that happiness and success hinge solely on achieving specific goals or financial milestones.

Geneiva will also provide practical techniques to combat these thoughts, replacing them with perspectives that are objective, empathetic, and self-affirming. Discover how to identify, label, and distance yourself from limiting core beliefs and build a new neural framework to nurture your inner sage wisdom.

McNeale is the owner and CEO of GLM Leadership Solutions. She has been in leadership and professional development training for more than 20 years, with audiences in a variety of fields including banking, healthcare, hospitality, horticulture, and more. She specializes in communication skills, personal development, goal setting, and broadening perspectives.
