UNH Macfarlane Greenhouses to Hold Open House on April 6

Sessions at the Greenhouse Growers Expo, which takes place in Grand Rapids, MI, in December, will focus on maintaining and increasing plant quality through successful rooting of cuttings, disease and pest management, and plant disorder diagnostics.
The Green Plan It Challenge gives school students in the U.K. the opportunity to participate in a 10-week project where they rethink the role of green space and develop solutions to horticulture-related problems.
This year’s conference, which takes place Oct. 5-6 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, will feature discussions on greenhouse technology, integrated pest management, and marketing, as well as a bus tour of local production facilities.
Two industry players have a conversation on how we can deliver the level of grower education needed to address complex issues associated with production practices and pest management strategies.
The course, which can be taken 24 hours a day, will cover basic greenhouse designs and construction materials, benching systems, glazing materials, lighting, heating systems, and much more.
Each of the webinars is free for on-demand viewing, and the series covers topics ranging from new technology to how to reach new markets.
Many of the talks that took place at this year’s Canadian Greenhouse Conference in Ontario focused on improving production efficiencies in the greenhouse.
