Four Horticulture Companies Adjust Employee Roles

People are on the move at Bailey, Dümmen Orange, Eason Horticultural Resources, and Syngenta Flowers with some new additions to their teams or current team members taking on new roles.

Bailey

Bailey welcomed Layci Gragnani to the brand marketing team as the Brand & Business Development Manager. Gragnani has more than a decade of industry experience in public relations, sales, marketing, and brand management, most recently at Star Roses and Plants.

Dümmen Orange

Dümmen Orange has announced the promotion of Nathan Sell to Managing Director of Annuals, Perennials, and Potted Plants for the company’s North American team.

Sell’s horticulture and floriculture knowledge is based on more than 25 years of working in the industry and filling several roles for different operations. Before joining Dümmen Orange, Sell and his wife owned and operated Pine Grove Greenhouse in Gobles, MI, for 17 years. Sell was also a manager for multiple organizations in Kalamazoo, MI, and Carleton, MI.

Eason Horticultural Resources

Eason Horticultural Resources adds Vinny Grasso to its management team. Grasso spent the last 24 years as Sales Manager at A&R Spada Farms. Prior to that, he spent 17 years in retail management and purchasing with FlowerTime and Frank’s Nursery & Crafts. Grasso graduated from State University of New York (SUNY) Cobleskill in Ornamental Horticulture with a focus in sales and marketing.

 

Syngenta Flowers

Keith Francis has been brought on as Head of Production for Syngenta Flowers. Francis brings almost 30 years of experience in production, agronomical knowledge, and leadership skills to his new role as Head of Production. Francis joined Syngenta Flowers at the beginning of 2020 as the Technical Manager of North America. As Head of Production, Francis will be part of the core leadership team to work closely with the Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams. In addition, he will be responsible for leading site production facilities in North America and technical production and quality teams.

Alicain Carlson has a new role as Technical Manager for North America. Carlson brings knowledge and experience in research and marketing, along with a track record of supporting data-driven new product introductions and customer solutions as Technical Trialing Manager. In her new role as Technical Manager, she will oversee both technical services and trialing teams.

Additionally, joining the product management team is Jennifer Emerson as a Product Manager. She will be responsible for setting strategy and driving profitable growth for a subset of flower seed product lines in North America. Emerson has held multiple roles in sales, marketing, and business development. She recently served as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Operations at Progeny Advanced Genetics, Inc., a lettuce breeding company that Syngenta recently acquired.
