Deal Helps Biobest Secure Stake in Sticky Traps for Plant Pests

Belgium, Germany-based Biobest Group announced that IVOG Gmbh, an affiliate involved in the manufacturing of sticky traps and rolls for integrated pest management use in greenhouses and open field crop production, has invested in BKS A.S., a producer of sticky traps and rolls as well as distributor of pheromones both in Turkey and in the global market.

It acquired majority stake in the company from Antilsan A.S. of Turkey.

In a prepared company news release, Jean-Marc Vandoorne, CEO of Biobest Group, stated: ”Sticky traps and rolls are important tools in integrated pest management, offering growers solutions to monitor pests and to actively reduce pest pressure. With this transaction, our group strengthens its position as a leading manufacturer of these products, allowing us to serve the needs of growers operating in different crops and different countries.”
